Rain here in the West Midlands not heavy but steady. Hope it stays a few days the gardens are desperate.

We had a decent heavy shower this morning. Not enough to wet the ground under hedges but it'll have done the veg patch some good, in the open

Wall to wall blue sky and a drying wind here in Norfolk ...

Grey skies, and quite windy, with a little watery sun now and then. Checked the water butt, still empty,  even though the grass has that damp look this morning, it's not been much good.

A tiny sprinkling, but barely enough to wet the surface :(. Oh well, bank holiday weekend coming up, that should make it rain :D

Just sun and drying winds in Suffolk - no rain for at least 6 weeks and no more than a 40% chance of getting any in the next week.😢

Same here @Topbird . I'm off to a friend's on Friday to sit in her garden and have an outdoor lunch, so I'd put money on it raining there but not on my garden.

I did my best. Put a wash on - nothing. Got changed to go out on my bike - a few drops on the ground, if you looked before they evaporated. Aha! I thought, if I persist with the bike ride that might ensure more... nothing.

Looking at those weather simulations 9n the BBC site there's to be some 'brief but heavy' rain about 5 miles SW of us, and showers about 5 miles North and West, but we appear to be in a gap.

I've put washing out and taken the day off work to do some gardening this afternoon. What else do the rain gods want?
