Here (Cambs) it’s been the same every day since March—bitterly cold, bright sunshine, not a drop of rain. I’ve had to water twice a week because of the wind.
Was hoping to wake up to rain. But no - cold wind from the NE and bright sunshine. Will be getting the hose out in a bit. It's the wind more than anything that dries out the top layer of our sandy soil. And the pond needs topping up.
Proper rain @didyw?! 😎 We've had about 20 minutes of light drizzle ... causing a hiatus in the laying of a new path at the neighbour on the corner's place ... but the sky is brightening again ...

Coming back from jab in Luçon just now there was some rain - countable drops that took 2 whole, separate swipes of the wipers to clear over about 6kms. Might get more this pm but not holding my breath.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.
