@Lena_vs_Deer and @Yviestevie thank you or showing us your photos of that beautiful rose garden and Trebah. I've been to Trebah, fascinating garden, path winds down to the sea.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
@Fire, we had a very busy week and were glad to come home for a rest. Our lovely eldest son, who lives in Australia, arranged for us to go to La Trompette in Chiswick for dinner on Father's day. It was the highlight of the week, a wonderful meal and so thoughtful of Jonathan (and his friend George, who works there) to organise it all. We were staying in a 3rd floor flat just off Belsize Avenue and it confirmed to us both that we would not like to live without any outside space. I'm not surprised by reports that "people" are desperate to move to a flat or house with a garden.
