Hi folks,  Lovely photo @debs64 make the most of those cuddles they grow up so fast.  Popped into Stourbridge this morning aswe are looking at getting the worktops and doors changed in our kitchen (can't afford a complete refurb).  Other than that I've been pottering in the garden, took out a couple of plants that weren't doing well and will be replacing them with a new peony and some dahlias. Did a bit of weeding and had to water the new plants and pots.  Everything is so dry out there.
I can't remember when my hair appt is, I have it cut at Besties so she usually keeps tabs on the dates and reminds me when it's due.

Hi all! Lovely day for me today. Delicious lunch then a trip to GC where a few bits jumped into my trolley then home for an hour in the garden. Lots of cuddles with Thomas and chat with my daughter who is my gardening buddy. A bonus was after speaking to my sister who said the RSPB reckon finches are in trouble I decided to clean my Niger feeder out and to my delight it came apart beautifully so I could get it really clean. I have filled it and hope the finches will come.
Hope everyone had a good day

Afties all. Hazel, I agree about the length of the journey and the time you would have to stand to pay your respects to your Dad's cousin being too much in these times. It cannot be helped and maybe when things are easier you could have a little gathering to celebrate his life. Debs it is the greenfinches that have suffered a vast decline due to trichomonosis, at the moment goldfinches (who love nyjer seeds) are holding their own. The news will soon get around about your feeder, though as from the picture I posted of my goldfinches, they will eat other seeds too.
I've pottered a bit in the greenhouse today - it was much warmer than outside. Several of my nasturtium seeds have popped up as have my liatris and crocosmia. They will be planted out of their big temporary accommodation pots when then weather is a little bit kinder.
T'Bird, I echo Hazel's good wishes for a safe journey tomorrow and a lovely holiday. Hope you haven't forgotten anything in your packing!

Like Chive, I'm also back to school. My small people are nor small any more, but I come home with buzzing ears too.
Believe me or not, after two nice days snow again. I hope last one this year. All works outside are on hold because of that. Tea and tv this evening.
Have a nice evening and stay warm.

Hello there Ante. Feet up and relax. I really do hope that is the last snow you have this season, you must be very keen to get the work finished.
Ruby, that rug is a credit to you. It is absolutely beautiful. Have the furry friends discovered it yet?

    Evening all,

Sowed some tomato seeds today. First attempt at growing them and I'm keen to see if I can get as far as having a little red taste of heaven to harvest later this summer :)

First things first though - let's see how many seeds germinate out of 35 ;)

Evening Biglad. Tomato seeds are usually quite reliable in germinating. You will probably end up with more than you can use.
