@WonkyWomble, have you tried Corsadil or its cheaper unbranded versions, chlorhexidine gluconate, very good for calming tooth ache. I didn't watch all of Beechgrove, we recorded it, fascinating to see it immediately after lockdown. I won't spoil it for others yet to watch.
Good day all. I find it strange that we still ‘celebrate’ Easter. I wonder if in the years to come these, essentially Christian, holidays will be re-named in some way? Presumably whilst we still have a monarchy, the old traditions will stay though. I personally see it as celebrating the return of Spring and new life, so not a million miles away. Same with C*mas - marking the dark days with lights and feasting.
Have a lovely Easter Sunday everyone, whatever it means to you 🐣⛪️🍫🌱🌼
@AuntyRach Belgium and France already call Xmas school hols the Winter holidays and the Easter break has become Spring break and, in France, is on fixed dates, regardless of when Easter falls.
Brilliant sun again here but cold. OH wanted to go out and be noisy witha strimmer and the mower but I told him to keep it quiet and, in any case, we've been so busy messing outside that inside needs a good clean so that's what we're doing. Just had a break tho for smoked salmon trout and blinis with sour cream and a freshly baked HC bun.
Happy birthday @WonkyWomble. Roast leg of lamb for us too, from NZ and only 9€ a kilo. Lemon curd pav for pud. Dentist for me on Thursday - 3 broken teeth now since chappy replaced all my old fillings...........

Hello all, happy Easter. Happy Birthday @WonkyWomble I hope your toothache doesn't stop you from enjoying the day and the lamb.
I went to church this morning, but it was in the church garden which is like a small orchard. Lovely and peaceful sitting in the sunshine surrounded by singing birds and apple blossom. We sang Easter hymns behind our masks.
Think I might have a glass or two of Proscecco tonight. OH left a bottle in the fridge, but I haven't been drinking.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Happy Easter everyone and Happy Birthday @WonkyWomble. It's glorious here today, why couldn't it have been yesterday for our family picnic! Haven't done much so far as woke up early at 4 am and had a cup of tea, then went back to bed so slept late. Lots of trips up and down our steepish drive, completely filling daughter's car with all the plants I've been potting up for her since she moved to her new place. She's just left for the 2.5 hr trip back to Devon. Can anybody identify the double yellow with orange centre daffodils please? She's very taken with those. Sorry about the double photos, posted the first, then remembered the tip about editing them to make it the correct way up, so had another go. I've had those Easter decorations about 8 years since the grandchildren were small - they still make me smile.

Lovely and sunny, but quite a heavy frost.
Just about to give Moira her list of jobs for the day, might involve first cut of the lawns.
Many happy returns @WonkyWomble, hope you have a wonderful day.
