Combining a couple of grumps into one, the reporting over the last couple of days about the landfill site that's stinking out the local town. What terrible journalism. WHY is it so bad? There are landfill sites all over the country but you don't hear this about all of them, what's causing this particular issue? Even a vague theory? Nah, just "how ill does it make you feel?"
This landfill is adjoining a housing estate, not a couple of miles out of town. How they got permission for it there is possibly another question which needs answering.
I saw an article recently with graphic graphics showing people who are used to 'squat' toilets how to use our style of loo. One image had the person squatting beside the WC with a red cross through it, the other sat on WC with a green tick.
