In Wales I'd say voting for him is a protest against both Labour and Cymru.Β Β

I don't understand voting for Rees-Mogg when you could spoil your ballot paper if you canna thole the other candidates.
No .......voting for someone who is so patently unfit is not a vote against other parties. Better to spoil your ballot paper rather than risk adding your vote to a useless candidate.Β  The more people do that, the more likely that the "useless" candidate may just get sufficient votes.Β  Look at who we currently have and ask whether we wanted them or they just enjoyed the benefit of "protest " votes.

They benefited from the EC and voted out. They might well vote for Hamilton. If they do, they deserve what they'll get.

People vote for some pretty poor candidates simply because of the colour of their rosette. In the North they'd vote for a dustbin if you put a red rosette on it in the urban areas at one time. Same true of much of the South east outside of London. Certainly true of Scotland and Wales nationalists with some constituencies. Some who benefited from it were quite distasteful. Like Derek Hatton in Liverpool back in the day. Rees mogg now. Indeed I personally do not think there are many good MPs or even candidates. They're party suckups mostly these days or pocket liners or incompetent so nowhere else will give them a career like that.

Then you've got dodgy in their ideology, racist in particular ways but ignoring it because they're the party of the working masses and actively campaigns against certain kinds of racism . Then you've got the xenophobes and little Englanders/Scotlanders/ Welsh types but of course you really only get little Englanders because prejudice towards the English in the Union is acceptable.

Have I missed any out? Oh yes, incompetent, self centred, very dim but loyal Tory. That's my old MP. The one I've moved into his area is a libdem but former party leader who got forced out because he's a principled Christian who didn't always vote with his Christian beliefs if they acted against the national interest/mood. Nice guy, capable (if only he was in a party capable of being in power) and very good constituency MP even when leading his party. There's very few good, honest MPs like him. I know lifelong Tories who moved into his constituency and then voted for him because they couldn't hold their nose with Boris. I think that's going to be my position of Boris is still around. Rather vote libdem than help a Boris into power.

Where have the quality politicians gone? Heseltine and Benn from back in the day. Ok you had Callaghan but you still had Kinnock and Thatcher.Β

I'm infuriated with trying to change my current email address (we're switching supplier soon) to a yahoo one as a holding measure.
I have about 30 to do and it's driving me crazy. Nearly every company wants to send a confirmatory code to my old email first, which I've then got to wait for and input that before they will confirm the switch. They don't like my new laptop either.Β At this rate I'll be doing about five a day.

Our district has suddenly been inundated with little huddles ofΒ  red electric scooters everywhere. I wouldn't mind so much if they were parked considerately. The riders are lethal on our narrow streets - how long you reckon before a sad fatality?
Well, not a fatality, but a nasty injuryΒ

I will do one for the old man.Β  He went shopping for wood, came back said he had forgotten a mask, I said whats wrong with the ones in the car, (I made sure they both have maks, gel, gloves haha) THEN back he came, "That was quick," I say, yeah, because this time, he forgot his wallet!!

I sympathise. When I'm leaving the house or car now I'm stood there doing the covid Macarena pocket check: Wallet, keys, phone, mask, gel, reusable shopping bag, and it's even worse if I have to take the kids with me.

If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

Maybe I'm being picky. There's 17 candidates for London Mayor and I don't fancy voting for any of them .
