It looks good. A great way of blending in the fence and hiding the concrete.
    Thank you 😊

I understand there is no law about height, only some discretionary council guidance.

Thank you 😊 I’m sure the council would be fine with what we are going to do as they are fully aware of the neighbours behaviour towards us, so by us increasing more privacy screening by using bamboo, I’d like to think they can see why we have done such a planter.

I wish I knew what you were doing that was so fascinating to your neighbour. Are we talking swingers parties and lines of coke off the side of the jacuzzi?

😂🤣 if only I was that exciting !

It’s a very long story (and quite entertaining but also a-bit psycho)but the bottom line is detailing what she sees us doing, who comes to our house, even admits she watches from her window ‘to get a better view’.. 😬

so we are doing all we can to block her out. I can’t move. So this is our only means of trying to block her view of our garden.

    Poor you.  Hope it works...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

It is not a permanent structure and it is not a fence. I believe you can go as high as you want.

Brilliant, thank you. Definitely not permanent and not a fence so that’s all good.

She will try and get the council to get us to remove it as that’s how she works ☹️ But if I know the legal side of it and show I’ve researched it before going ahead then I’m not in the wrong.

Your bamboo is probably Phyllostachys nigra, but all bamboo are not easy to keep in a trough or pot.
They take a lot of watering .
    Hope you are successful

Fence and hedge height is different under local regulations.  There is a difference between laws and regulations.  If in doubt.  Play dumb.  Go ahead and wait until you are challenged.
