Law regarding height of trellis on free standing planter

Hi, I hope this is the correct place to ask this.

We have a planter (180cm long) and will be backing it in trellis. It will house Bamboo.

we are doing this for privacy due to a very nosey neighbour. It will be placed near a dividing wall. It will not be attached to it.

what height can I legally take the trellis to?

Thanks 😊

Why would you need trellis for bamboo?

What type of bamboo are you going to plant, some will grow 3m+ so obviously too tall for a trellis so you don't really need one but 6ft plus planter height would be the average height, unless your neighbour is very tall or their garden is higher than yours.

To block out the nosey neighbour. Also to look nicer than the concrete wall 😊

To the best of my knowledge the rules about fence height only apply to boundary fences.  We have raised beds with 6 ft high trellis behind them, making a total nearer 8 ft.

The concrete wall behind isn’t very pretty, I wanted to incorporate the fencing ‘look’ and went for a Forest trellis which looks modern. The bamboo against it looks lovely (in my opinion 😂 ) and the bamboo we are planting is Black bamboo (don’t know the actual name)

It looks good. A great way of blending in the fence and hiding the concrete.
    In London. Keen but lazy.
