  Of course it depends on your set up, there are versions with a separate sensor if you need to have the reading remotely.

  Brannan are reputable manufacturers and this one I wholeheartedly recommend because it is accurate, cheap, very easy to read, only uses two buttons (one for F/C, one for re-set), and just does one thing - tell the temperature which is all I want. I do not need humidity levels or need to know the time in Hong Kong or anything else.

  Brannon do a great range https://www.brannan.co.uk/product-category/thermometers/max-min-thermometers/ I use the heavy duty ones at the bottom of the page and there's very little to go wrong with them.

  I've tried several different manufacturers but they all use LED displays which fail after a year or two. Can anyone suggest a robust thermomter that will last?
