That's easy @Hostafan1.  It hasn't darkened our screens since the 80s and then it was only cos OH picked up bad habits while in hospital for an op.

I get irritated by the Irish and American emphasis on the 3nd syllable of harASS.  It has nothing to do with members of the equine family and is HArass.

There are regular ads on one of the Freeview channels for programmes about aliens and one of the 'experts' always says 'Extraterristerals' instead of 'Extraterrestrials'.

"concerning" is currently being abused and misused with alarming frequency on the Beeb and, no doubt elsewhere when people really mean "worrying" or "of concern".

"concerning" means "about, pertaining to, regarding, relating to".

  • The incorrect use of "I" when it should be "me"; they think they're speaking all posh and clever like. Eerrr well you're not, you're just proving you don't know how to use it!

Even more upsetting is the incorrect use of myself or yourself. "I gave it to yourself" No!! 😖.

My father's pet hate was "at this moment in time "  instead of now.
