Watched GW last night . What a difference with those manky box hedges gone. The space looks 10 times bigger, brighter and  less claustrophobic . I'd have got rid of the silly strips of grass too.
I'm not a fan of home videos and still find the sloppy close ups of dozing dogs vomit inducing.

What annoys me most is the continuous camera movement from whatever Don is doing to the dog. And again. And again. Next week I will count the times this happens. But I couldn't not watch a single episode, I always look forward to it. 😊

Bugs me too. I don't mind if the dog (or cat, like Adam Frost's) wanders into shot, or is sitting/walking with the presenter while they're talking, but shots of pets seemingly for the sake of it is a waste of precious TV gardening time.

I agree.   Cats and dogs wandering into shot is one thing but actively featuring them and lingering shots of them is not on especially when the Yorkie was kept away while Nigel was still around.   I have 2 dogs and 2 cats so like them in gardens and the home but think they are not appropriate used in this way.  Focus should be on plants and gardening and, maybe, visiting wildlife.

It doesn't bother me, but I think some people only watch because of the dogs / cats.
How can you lie there and think of England

The Yorkie is his daughters, not his.  And she only came to live with them when the first lockdown started, which was only just before Nigel passed away.  So I don’t think she was “kept away”.

However, have to agree - incidental dog shots are fine, lingering focus on dogs alone is a bit irritating
  • Dear me!! So many people get pleasure from the dogs yet others seem quite upset by them!

There ARE programmes aplenty about dogs. We seem to have to make do with just one ( mostly ) dedicated to gardening.

It's obviously all just b-roll to help with the editing but granted, they could cut to plants rather than dogs. I'm not a dog person but it doesn't bother me, I know it's only there to cover a cut.
I’ve no idea what I’m doing.
