It means to be aware of injustices in society, especially racial injustice and to be receptive to the need for reform.

It is a corrupt usage of awake and entered the OED as an adjective in June 2017. The word is often used pejoratively by those who think that social injustices are not as stark as most believe.

I would have a rather different definition of 'woke'.  Something along the lines of being offended by anything and everything on behalf of those who see no reason to be offended in the first place.
Regarding GW, I accept that it's difficult to fill an hour with new material in the current environment, so why not just put it back to 30 minutes until the situation imporoves?  After all, they pull it completely when it suits them.

Whizzed as usual through Carole as her voice grates on me, plus a couple of things from last year. Glad it's back.😁

I don't much mind a few repeated sections in principle, but I think the choices could be better. But you can't suit everyone all the time.

As an avid Strictly fan I knew all about JJ Chalmers' backstory - as well as his from his frequent appearances on the One Show.  So I wanted to know more about the park and the plants in it.  I do wish they'd use actual gardeners for this kind of thing.  My favourite bits are of Monty.  Time to cut back my scented pelargonium.  And mulch that thick! Who knew!
Gardening in East Suffolk on dry sandy soil.
  • Fed up of viewers videos!! I'm not interested in celebrities. I remember watching Chelsea one year and an actress (can't remember who) said she didn't like gardening.then what are you doing there then?! Gosh.i do get annoyed just lately..
Agreed half an hour is enough for now.
