@LeadFarmer, box ticking ... I quite agree. As it happens my friend has an allotment plot two down from Frances Tophill; I can give you an update if you like!

Interesting. Is it actually hers, that she works on herself? I always assumed she just did little bits to camera but with others maintaining the allotment.

Still my TV highlight of the week 🤣, it's a TV program all about gardening what's not to like !!! Clearly some bits won't suit all and I'm still very much a beginner so I tend to learn new things regularly. I do like Monty's style of presenting and his garden is certainly my kind of thing.

But why is it on at 9pm? We have seen children (in the home videos) who are interested but it's on too late for them.

My 9yo likes to watch it with me so I'll watch it on iPlayer with him at a later date.

Watched GW last night . What a difference with those manky box hedges gone. The space looks 10 times bigger, brighter and  less claustrophobic . I'd have got rid of the silly strips of grass too.
I'm not a fan of home videos and still find the sloppy close ups of dozing dogs vomit inducing.

I'm in agreement with the box ticking.
I have to say I've been watching episodes from 10 years ago and they Are much more informative and helpful to actual gardeners and not just bored fad jumpers in lockdown.
I really could do without home videos from people that have no clue.

    I wish I’d said that!

Nice to have GW back, it's a lovely gentle watch. Off to buy some rhubarb now!

@BenCotto the same folk that bought all the flour and yeast in first lockdown to make their own artisan breads! 😉

I will watch it this morning when I have a cup of coffee, I have to record it as we are an hour ahead of you and I would fall asleep halfway through!
