I have had a fun day, despite the cold wind and slight drizzle. I've bought more garden stuff, mostly compost and raspberries, also a set of 2 armchairs, a 2 seater sofa and a coffee table for the terrace. I've always wanted an outdoor sofa and they are so expensive but Leclerc has had a load of furniture in at very reasonable prices. They had arranged a display with fake grass and potted plants so you could try sitting on the chairs. It's flatpack so that made it cheaper £240. The Garden Centre ones were £700 - £1500.

I bought raspberry plants, Fall Gold x 2, Versaille x 2, Heritage x 5. Tayberries x 2, a redcurrant "London Market", Strawberries "Mara des Bois" x 10, a rhubarb, tarragon, oregano, seed potatoes "Charlotte" and 7 bags of compost.

I'm going to Daughter 1's tomorrow for the weekend. It's her birthday on Sunday.

That's a good haul @Busy-Lizzie, I was going to try some yellow raspberries this time,  but they were offering a bundle at a good price so I went for that. I added the long cane Tulameen as they should crop this year.

We haven’t had GW on TV for ages here. Can’t remember when I last saw an episode. I feel a neglected!

This morning’s rain gauge reading was a whole 6.5mm for the past 24 hours of miserable misty weather. The prediction is for high winds in the high country. Great!  Luckily, I’m in for the day. Knitting gloves for my retail outlet in town.

    Hi @Pat E I’m having a wakeful night 🙄
the news has been telling us about floods in NSW ... I take it that you’ve not had that much rain?  And cousin was telling us about plagues of rats and mice ... sounds a bit grim 😒

Been another hard working week. Need a long run and some pottering so hope the weather is kind today.

Morning all. Looking grey but dry here today. Hoping to get an afternoon of gardening in 👨🏽‍🌾
I’ve no idea what I’m doing.

Dove the floods are north of Sydney and slightly south of there. We are almost to the Victorian border.

There have been plagues of mice in the past as well but mainly inland areas where lots of grain is grown and stored.  Can’t be very pleasant for the farmers trying to make a living from their harvests. 🤭

it has been raining lightly this afternoon and our concrete paths are wet, but not much yet. There is a prediction for strong winds later which I’m not looking forward to.  Will keep you posted if the power doesn’t go off. 🙄
