@D0rdogne_Damsel What a fabulous hosta to plant in that little shelter. I think it would look stunning and would also be protected from the hot sun during the summer. The green again the stone work will look so "foresty". Nice one @Hostafan1
@D0rdogne_Damsel, I don't think that leaf is a hosta. I had "Frances Williams" in a shady spot. She grew pretty big and didn't get eaten by slugs. Not as big as that huge Empress Wu.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Sorry @D0rdogne_Damsel, our posts overlapped and I missed yours . Not a hosta coming through.
Dove, you can't access the garage with a car, it was built in 1965,,way too small for today's cars, there is no curb,we only use the garage for storage.the garage is on the title deed, but not the parking area in front of it,so it's technically public land,I have just gone round and taken s picture, it's telling me it's too large, means nothing to me,I posted some the other day nothing said then
@D0rdogne_Damsel the range of hostas available here is considerably less than I had in Belgium. I asked one grower at a fair if he had Sum and Substance and he'd never heard of it! Lovely huge leaved hosta with golden foliage so great for a dark corner.
It's turned cool here as it's clouded over after a lovely sunny morning. I have done my weekly raid on the SM and had a bite to eat and will head off outside soon.

Spent a happy day in my GH sowing seeds and listening to podcasts. Propagators are now full, and finally my “to do” seed tin has less in it than my “done” seed tin 🤪
Very exciting news about the beavers @steephill 🦫 🦫🦫. I knew they were coming, but lovely to know they have actually arrived 😀😀😀
Obelixx,I put the picture on my phone here, couldn't see much in the way of right hand buttons, but nothing happened,3 weeks tomorrow I have had this my first smartphone,I put s picture on here earlier,no problems anyway,if it appears it's for Dove, yes,it looks awful, the door needs an electric sander, but no electricity there, nope it. Says no,I put a picture of my tomato seedlings on here earlier,no problems
Hi folks, Had another busy day. I've been to Ashwoods and bought a small Rhododendron Blue Steel for the edge of the border. I also bought a Rhubarb called Victoria which I've planted where the Raspberries were going to go and managed to plant a couple of white Lupins that have been in pots for the past couple of years.
Most of the seeds in the propagators have germinated so things are going well.
I also popped to Boots to pick up my prescription, as I hadn't had a text message from them. It was bedlam. Long queue, it was taking 10mins to serve each customer. I was in there for about an hour. Hubby wasn't best pleased as he was waiting in the car.
I have also managed to book an appt to talk to a doctor over the phone. I tried ringing the surgery where there was a message that said no appts were being made over the phone and I needed to log on to the website. When I did that it said no appointments were available on line. I called the surgery back and waited on phone for about 30 mins. Finally got through and the receiptionist told me that booking on line was suspended and everyone had to phone the surgery. When I explained that the telephone message said to book on-line she said Oh yes we must get round to changing that.
Hope that Donkey is ok @Busy-Lizzie I have a bit of a soft spot for them and it seems such a shame that he has led such a lonely life.
Just asked my daughter by text she is a software expert, says she doesn't know because even cropped photos are the same size,oh yveviestevie that sounds like my experience of the surgery and pharmacy these last few weeks,
