Don't try and walk up a narrow garden path backwards pulling a wheelbarrow, you do not have eyes in the back of your head -result fell in a rose bush and cut my leg and had seven stitches.
Don't buy tonnes of tiny plug plants if you don't have space to pot on tonnes of tiny plug plants. They may look amazing, your heart my leap, but no. Just don't do it. Resist.
I was given the advice to just observe a new garden for the first year, to see what comes up. In our case, Jurassic Park and Triffids! We’ve been fighting to regain control ever since!
My first year gardening I just threw whatever perennial I like the look of into my heavy clay and basically everything died. Last year I’ve added bags and bags of farm yard manure and compost and everything has lived and doing well ☺️
