    Thanks a lot, everyone. I’ll try
    and get one or two shots from more recently, when I get a chance. If anything, I think it looks a bit shorn in the August shots. With it being cut once a year, I suppose they do quite a lot. It has grown in a bit more now and perhaps looks more natural. Bit like a haircut, maybe. 

    I understand that it used to take him three days. This time he had three helpers and it took him just a day. It was blazing hot and humid at the time. Not sure how they do it. They have jackets with in-built electric fans though! Not sure if you have seen them.

    Thank you for the photos - I really enjoy this thread.  

    I'm wondering about the various water basins around the garden - do you ever see birds using them? 

    Your garden feels like such a calm contemplative space.
