I so love to see all this spring promise too @fromtheshires, amazing to watch how much those plants will change in just a few weeks.
I got a nice pic of these tulips at the end of the day yesterday, I took one in the morning but the red was just too bright in full sun to be able to get the focus right. Such a cheery sight, sadly they've been swamped for a couple of years by over zealous geraniums and honeysuckle, they've finally seen the light of day this year. I am going to add more of the same for next year, I think, and I may be wrong, they are Red Riding Hood. I have now started to catalogue the plants I buy (horse bolted.....but I'm trying).

Nothing spectacular to show today. In accordance with the weather forecast I've protected some new or tender plants.
Before...
After!
Protected plants are, from front to back and left to right:
Daphne x transatlantica 'Eternal Fragrance' (brand new specimen); at the back: Diosma hirsuta (already a little frost-scorched in February but currently in full bloom); in the middle at the back: Fuchsia 'Riccartonii' just planted: on the right: Persicaria runcinata 'Purple Fantasy' which is always starting to emerge too soon.

General view of half of the garden, with the lawn quite recently scarified and mulched
You have a lovely view @sam bevington, looks very peaceful.
Frost here too this AM, then lovely day, then incredibly windy. The changeable weather seems to have flopped and snapped a lot of my precious daffs so I brought them inside.
A couple of new types (to me) in this little posy, Snow Disc and Can Can Girl

Also the plum, cherry and pear blossom came out last week. Now a bit confused as to which is which!
My lady of shalott rose is showing signs of lie and my clematis tie dye is really beginning to grow!
(excuse the patchiness of the fence and the green tape, i will be giving it a second coat when it warms up again!)
