Classic Dunnock eggs I say. Blue with no markings in a nest of grass and roots. Watch out for a cuckoo laying an egg in there!
My garden and I live in South Wales.

Managed a hasty dash around the garden in-between work shifts, at last some sunshine and blloms coming out. Loving the dark Gladioli especially, first year of growing.

Is it not getting a bit late in the season?

I would imagine it's second time round. I have had babies running around the garden for weeks now @Fire

I have, what must be, the third clutch of sparrows over my bath (so to speak). They've been going straight, from Feb, seemingly without a break in between broods. They nest in eaves all along our street, front and back. We must be helping to assist the (strugging) London sparrow population.

Sparrows flying about with mouthfuls of stuff here.
Do they make the nests before or after they mate?
    In London. Keen but lazy.

Both @B3 .  They are a type that stays together for life, and nest in the same spot.

Is three the max clutches per year? It feels more like five by me

Each clutch takes about 10 weeks from laying to parents abandoning the chick's so from Feb to Sept four would be a squeeze. 😆
