    Very nice @Papi Jo and @Nollie - you have more sun in France and Spain than we have here at the moment.  But should be nice for the next few days so I'm hoping to be able to crack on with my plans!

    Thankyou for posting those pics Nollie, now I have a good idea which of the tulips in my garden are going to be Whittalii (they're not quite in flower yet but I think I can judge by the foliage)

    The Whitties do have larger leaves and flowers, plus the flowers last longer then the other species tulips I have. Violacea Black Base are over in a blink!
