I've been very busy at work and had to negect the garden somewhat but I've managed an evening stroll and come up with some lovely shots. I have lived in France for 7 years and have never experienced such terrible weather, so many plants have been beaten down and there is so much greenery rather than blooms, but nature is awesome, a joy to observe.
I enjoyed seeing your garden @D0rdogne_Damsel, how it is now, especially as I've seen it in real life in the past. You've done a great job. I particularly liked the red wine flower
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Some plants, supposedly tender, seem to cope better than expected in the South East eg. Tradescantia pallida, canna do fine outside.
Thanks for the ID on that tradescantia, it's beautiful. What are the other purple/reddy foliage plants in your photos? My garden is too green so I plan to get some of those!
Dahlia Happy Daze (small). I'm not such a fan of the bright piow centres - it detracts too much for the rest for my taste. Photo bombing. All the dahlias are taking a beating from molluscs this year for the first time ever. These are in a high pot on a high table and I still find the buggers crunching the buds in the nightime. D. Mexican Star is just starting to open.

Ladybird poppies. A little weedy, perhaps. They might need more sun to make for a stronger plant.
