@Eustace I know it as a mimosa (although there are various trees that are called mimosas)

@Papi Jo Thank you! They weren't a variety that I had ever seen before (although that doesn't mean much, as I am very new to gardening), but I am very glad that I gave them a go. Thank you for your beautiful Spring pictures, too - I love the dainty flowers on the Spiraea.

It's interesting that so many people are suddenly having problems loading photos upright. Has the site's tech changed recently?

Don't know @Fire but until the last week or so I have never had a photo post sideways and I haven't changed anything.

It's definitely a recent thing @Fire, l've never had the problem before. I don't know why it was a problem just with that one.

Photo alignment issues seem to have just cropped up in the last few weeks.

Re photo orientation it would be interesting to find out which system (Windows, Mac, etc) and which device (desktop computer, tablet, phone) are mostly used by those members whose photos get displayed sideways. Oh and also of course which device was used for taking those photos, and what was the orientation of the original photo (portrait/vertical or landscape/ horizontal).
    That's a lot of parameters!

My pics load sideways if I use the GW site’s option to go for a smaller size .....IOS
