Just popped in to wish LB all the best for this afternoon & to say I hope Yvie hears some better news soon.

Been busy doing unmentionables and making fish pie for tonight. Putting a new zip in my gardening fleece next. Started it last night and it is MUCH more difficult than it needs to be - lots of interfacings and pocket zips getting in the way.

Will be a bit of a botched job but hey-ho, it's a fleece for gardening. Nearly 30 years old but can't bring myself to throw it away - it's light but warm & windproof, has loads of 'useful' pockets & there's years of life left in it yet - if I can replace the zip!

See we have an anatomy quiz this week. Will have a little go later on.🙂

  • Afternoon everyone, been busy with phone calls all morning with OH dietician, Drs and pharmacy.
LB, hope all goes well with vaccine thus afternoon.
@Yviestevie so sorry to hear your SIL is so poorly. Hope he starts to feel better soon. Hope firstborn and grandchildren are ok. Take care.
Will have a go at the Quiz.....looks a hard one 🤔
    Have a good day everyone

Hi everyone, thanks for all your kind comments.  Unfortunately the news isn't good today.  The ambulance has been called out twice in the last 24 hours.  His oxygen levels dropped to high 80's at one point, which I know isn't good because of Gabriel's treatment.  Merri was on the phone sobbing because he was so ill.  Was hardly responding to any form of conversation.  However, they still haven't taken him in to hospital and have told Firstborn to monitor him hourly.  They still haven't given her any parameters to judge his condition by.  Firstborn and Merri have set alarms so that one of them checks on him each hour through the night.  Things just seem to be getting worse instead of better.  I'm starting to wonder if they aren't taking him to hospital because they have no room.

Hello all. Thanks for your thoughts T'Bird. Got home about 15 minutes ago. Got to the chemist's a bit early, details were taken, straight in for the jab (never felt a thing), 10 minutes sit down (that brought me to the time I was supposed to be getting my jab) then back to car at 'sco and home. All very smooth.  Only a handful of people there. I had the Astra Zeneca vaccine.
Oh Yvie, your news is horrendous, I am so, so sorry to hear all that. Sending all good thoughts and wishes for you and your family.

  • Afternoon everyone,
@Yviestevie I can only echo what the others have said, the dreadful news of SIL is such a worry for all the family. I hope he starts to improve soon and makes a good recovery, best wishes to you all.

LB I’m pleased you had such a good experience getting the jab this afternoon, take it easy for the rest of the evening maybe leave the knitting for another day and give that arm a rest. Sorry I’ve not looked at the quiz yet,
    Have a nice evening everyone.
  • Yvie I’m sorry to hear your news.  I very much hope for good news for you.  Sending my best wishes.  LB I’m glad to hear all went well at the chemists.  Take it easy tonight and rest.  Lily I hope all went well today and the dietician chat was helpful.  Chive I hope you’ve had a good day and can relax tonight.  I hope Nel is warm and cosy.  Alfie’s been hiding in the barrel today.

Had an email today to tell me that my next eye test is due. I'll have to consult my full-to-overflowing social diary to see when I can fit an appointment in.
RosieBB I love the thought of Alfie in the barrel.
