Hi folks, Throwing it down here so no gardening. Might be a good thing as I'm feeling very tired today. The forecast for tomorrow is looking much better so hopefully I can get the pruning and border tidying finished. We're in the process of ordering a new suite @Songbird-1 There's a 10 week delivery on it so we wont be getting excited just yet.
Afternoon All, Sorry to those of you with wet weather but the sun came out and I’ve had a lovely time in the garden, pottering & tidying round feels really good to do that. A beautiful little BlueTit was nipping in & out of the bushes, so enjoyable to see. Rosie Your multigrain bread sounds delicious, a slice of that with some cheese would go down a treat. I’ve been eating some Clementines when the nibbles start 😊 Hazel love your Robin Avatar, so nice to see the pretty Crocus flowers really does feels like Spring is on the way. Hope you will be pleased with your new rugs when they arrive, it’ll be nice to have a change. Yvie Sorry you’ve got rain but if you’re feeling tired then it’s a good excuse to have an easy day, hope tomorrow is dry so you can carry on with the garden, Hope you all have a nice evening.
Hi all, pouring with rain fingers crossed tomorrow is better.
Chive how lovely to see the little birds in the garden. My feeders are busy with many little birds and they are a delight.
Songbird pretty crocuses, I went to B&Q earlier for John ones no 3 to repot my roses and picked up some primroses half price, I only ever look at the rescue section in there. Spring flowers are so joyous aren’t they?
The flowers for Aunt are “letterbox” flowers so she should be ok to accept them rather than a courier? She is in sheltered accommodation so has to be extra careful.
Just back from a rare game of football (I've no idea why these games are still allowed to take place as 'elite' ) so I'll probably waste the rest of my day off by falling asleep in front of the TV.
It's warm but intermittently wet here so I'm not missing out on any great gardening weather.
Hello all. Chive, it may be out day for decent weather tomorrow - we can live in hope. A pretty show of crocuses Hazel. I bet there is a lovely bread smell in your kitchen RosieBB. I cannot believe where this day has gone. I haven't done too much today and certainly not what I was hoping to do as I've had a lot of phone calls. It has gone really dark here which is a little unusual and probably means more rain.
Biglad, will you have to do that work tomorrow as you suspected?
Yvie, a new suite, how exciting! If anyone can remember Sunny from Essex who used to post on here a couple of years ago, she was excitedly waiting her new suite which was made in a place fairly near to where I am. I wonder how she is doing.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Yes @Ladybird4 - I'm working 6 days a week at the moment. In fact, I just ignored a work call a few minutes ago. I'm contracted to do a 55-hour week but I've been doing 80+ and getting phone calls during the rare time I'm 'Off'. Getting a bit cheesed off with it if I'm honest
Biglad, that is most unfair and thoughtless of the individuals calling you. It brings to mind my Bestie's son who is an I.T. technician in a Seconday School. He does not get the same holidays as the teaching staff but has no complaint about that, what does get him very cross is when he gets home at night or takes his holiday entitlement and school people are ringing him up to sort out connection errors etc. etc. I should point out that this irritant was during 'normal' times and hasn't occurred within covid times.

I've been really out of sorts today. No idea why, apart from the weather, but I'm getting on Hubby's nerves. Just can't seem to settle to anything. Hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow and, if the weather improves, I'll make sure I get outside.

I have just popped on quickly as I am doing tea.
Been in the garden this afternoon. I only came in as it was dark. If I could have got away with a head torch, I would have carried on 🤣🤣
Hazel, those Crocuses are beautiful. I think spring flowers are my favourite as they are so vibrant after bleak winter months.
