Afties all. My youngest sister in Durham sent me a little video of her garden and the snow falling. It looked very pretty but I'm glad that I'm not outside in it. I have the same Tog duvet on all year round. If I get hot I just stick a leg out from under it. Legs are very good at dissipating heat. Its still way to early for me to consider any seed sowing here. Lots of good news for you Yvie, after the rough few days you have had.

  • Afternoon everyone, I was called in to work today so I decided to pick up the most urgent items of bread & milk on my walk home. Some of the roads and paths have nearly cleared on the sunny side of the street,
Yvie It is so good to hear some cheery news for you & your family SIL is improving, congratulations to 2nd born on her promotion to Deputy Head and of your OH having his vaccine, must be such a relief for you. Hope you’ve lit the fire and are enjoying the cozy warmth.
Hazel Im glad you got some of the items you wanted from the GC, shame about the compost. Great news on your invite to have the jab on Friday,
SGL I hope you are both keeping out of the cold, how is your friends OH is she any better?
RosieBB I hope you’re staying in the warm today,
LB Thank you for the quiz, I meant to ask you what plants did you receive yesterday? I’ve not acted on my seeds yet, just as well given the weather we’ve had.
    I hope Topbird is ok.

Hello Chive. The plants I received yesterday were heleniums, foxgloves and zaluzianskyas (the sweetly scented at night flower). The last one can be a little bit on the tender side so I might bring it inside the house for tonight as we are due to have an even colder night than last night.

LB Leaving the water in the bath while you do the sealing round the edges. You leave it in until the sealant has set, so that when you fill the bath and get in the sealant doesn't come away at the edges with the weight.

I hope you can understand what I'm trying to say.

  • Lovely assortment of plants LB, I had to look up the last one that’s not a name I knew, but now I recognise what it is that's going to be a glorious scent. These overnight temperatures are extreme at the moment, I’m hoping my lemon tree is coping in its winter retreat 🤞
  • @Songbird-1 Hazel fancy flagging me 😂 don’t worry it’s very easily done. Work was fine thank you 😊

Hello Pauline, I do understand what you said and it makes sense but the leak was from a shower and thats why I was a bit confused.
Hazel ages ago if you accidently flagged someone, if you flagged them again it cancelled it out.
Chive, my lemon trees are in the greenhouse so I'm hoping that they are OK. They looked all right when I was in there today.

LB. I assumed that the shower was an 'over the bath ' one.
