Been busy painting all day (emulsion not watercolours!) making good the 9 window & door rebates where they did replacements in Nov. Four different colours of paint to dig out - most of which have not been opened for about 7 years. Fortunately they were all just about usable. Fortunately I also had enough brushes that I could just paint without needing to wash and dry brushes in between. Can have a big clean up session later. Just have the windowsills to do tomorrow. Trouble is once the decorating gear comes out I start seeing the jobs that need doing....
Is it very sad that I have favourite paintbrushes (B&Q no-shed, long synthetic bristle, 1.5" and 1" if you're asking) and (even worse) favourite dust sheets?😬 Get quite uptight when I need to use alternatives.
Good to see you SGL.🙂
Biglad - all this talk of exercise makes me feel very idle
Ante - good luck for tomorrow. Hope school isn't too stressful.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Aww, thank you everyone, very kind. Good to see you all too. 🤗 Ruby so pleased your OH shoes fit and are comfortable. Nothing worse than uncomfortable shoes 😣 Love snowdrops LB, mine are peeking through but no flowers yet. Your Sarcococca looks very pretty too. We had a lovely walk in the woods. It was quite warm too in the sunshine earlier. Just been out to put the bin out for tomorrow and it's starting to feel a bit nippy again.
LB, what a lovely surprise. First sign of upcoming spring.
T'bird, thank you. I hope that school will be fine. But you are right, we were so long time online.
I had a one more nice walk. It was -5℃, but no wind, and snow was falling slowly. Ideal winter day. Saw many wild birds and ine hare. My dog passed just few meters near him and didn't spot that something is laying under bush. It was so funny when hare jumped out and run away.
Evening all. You have been a busy bee T'Bird. Hazel, avert your eyes. Jack's (cat sitter) son-in-law was a painter and decorator by trade and he taught me a trick that apparently most painters know about and that is that when you get a new paint brush (favourite or not) you should cut off about 2cm of the bristles. That way you don't use as much paint on the brush and you can work more quickly. It always felt like sacrilege to me. I 'fess up to having favourite dust sheets too T'Bird, and they go in Lily's TV at the end of a job. Glad the thaw is continuing Rosie. I brought my wet cloths - still damp - in. Daren't risk them overnight. This next week is not looking brilliant.
p.s. Hello Ante, you weren't there when I posted. I bet your dog jumped out of his skin! Lovely to see a hare though.

Brief track training session this morning means an afternoon of Sky Sports laziness
Although I might sneak half an hour in the garden as it is warmer and dryer than of late. Things are starting to stir

Forgot to mention that I have freshly baked baklava for dinner. Perfect with cup of tea.
