Good morning Ruby. Has your snow all gone now? Very wet here as usual. I'm on the final two colours of my scarf Ruby. The next colour (number 14) needs 30 rows as compared to the 6 rows of most of the others and colour number 15 just needs 6 rows so not too long to go now. I have really enjoyed the knitting despite the 300 stitches! Can't wait to see it finished.

  • Morning everyone,
Stunning photo Ante,  the bird is almost camouflaged in the tree. Looks beautiful.
A frosty morning here. Just seen the weather forecast for this week, sounds like a very cold and wet one ahead.😣
Had a good nights sleep, not been awake long, need a cup of tea ☕☕
    See you soon
  • LB, sounds like the scarf is really coming along.  You must be knitting like crazy 😉 look forward to seeing all the colours.

Morning all. More painting today. 8 windowsills - not difficult - just boring. Might do a couple of internal doors and surrounds if I finish early and I’m in the swing.

Ante - that’s a lovely picture of a well camouflaged bird. Do we think it’s a ptarmigan?

LB - well done with the knitting. You’ll just need a tardis soon.

Must get on (can’t wait!) - hope you all have a good Monday. Don’t work too hard.

Morning T'Bird. Thats what I put in answer to Debs question about the bird. You are cracking on with the painting there. Well done. I know it can get a little tedious but go for it.

Morning all. Lovely sunny day here. I’m on nanny duty today. Gabriel is still spotty but no blisters so he’ll probably be ok to go back to his nursery on Wednesday. For the first time it was light when I arrived at Secondborn’s so the mornings are definitely getting lighter. Hope everyone is ok

Morning Hazel and Yvie. Hazel its a but early yet for alliums. Most of them flower in early summer so the leaves may be a little while yet in showing. My crocuses are still a bit behind, all I can see are a few little leaves. Snakes head fritillaries are some of my favourite flowers and they are very happy in damp ground.

Ante a lovely 🦅 bird.  Debs enjoy the painting.  LB thank you for naming the bird, a Ptarmigen.  I’ve been for a walk in the sunshine with dad.  Ante hope you have a good day at school.  @Chivetalking I hope you’re okay, sending my best wishes.  Hazel I hope you’re enjoying the sunshine.  Yvie I’ve noticed the mornings getting lighter too.  Wishing you all a good day.

Hazel - I love snakes head fritillaries. Unfortunately we don't have any part of the garden that is reliably moist so I don't think they'd do well here. That said, the garden is a bit soggy at the moment and likely to get wetter this week if the forecast is reliable..
My alliums usually start showing themselves when either the weather warms up just a tad or the days feel a bit longer - maybe next month.

LB - apologies for this morning. Didn't see you'd already identified the bird. One of the perils of speed reading posts.

Right, break time is over. Need to wash the brushes out and run the Noo-noo over the carpets where the dust sheets have been down. They may be favourite dust sheets but they still have bits on them.....
