    😁🀣 Biglad

LB - MIL's allergy is to wasp stings and she wasn't allowed to have the Pfizer jab - but she should be ok with the Oxford one.Β

    Sorry folks - couldn't resist ;)

It's desperately trying to snow here but mostly floating around and melting if it lands. Could be different once it goes dark and drops a few degrees though :oΒ

I've got a SM click and collect slot in the morning so don't want any nonsense on the roads!

My eldest son is allergic to wasp stings. Had read somewhere about the vaccine and wasp stings.Β
It's so very cold here today, went out to the bin earlier and we decided we'd give going forΒ  a walk a miss today πŸ₯ΆπŸ₯Ά
    Still no snow though πŸ˜₯
Glad your wool has turned up Hazel. The blanket will keep you warm as it grows πŸ˜‰

Hi folks,Β  It snowed overnight here but it has all gone now.Β  I should be looking after the boys today but slipped on the steps as I was going to the car this morning.Β  I'm OK, just a bit achy.Β  I've been organising vegetable seeds and working out when I have to sow them.Β  Never grown any before so I'm looking forward to giving it a go this year.
Worrying news about the London hospital situation.Β  They have said it's basically like a war zone.Β  Stay safe everyone.

Thanks for that reassurance T'Bird. πŸ‘ Biglad Its gone really dark here and the snow has started to fall again. Hazel, good news about your wool. Interesting that letter you spotted in the newspaper. I was getting rather worried about handy brother's next door neighbours as up until yesterday, despite both being in their nineties, and with many health issues, they hadn't had any communication at all about their first injections. They heard yesterday and go for their first shots tomorrow. I think it must depend on various General Practices as well, as Chey hinted at, money talking.
My needles have arrived so shortly I will be casting on 300 stitches. I got the 15 colours for the scarf sorted out this morning. 300 stitches sounds very daunting so I'm expecting to be frustrated at times.
Yvie, it must have been a day for tumbles as I had one this morning. I was coming downstairs with a bottle of water in one hand and my mobile in the other. I have to come downstairs with the crab sidle - two feet at a time on one step. I completely missed the last step and stepped down onto the floor but as I wasn't expecting this sudden deeper drop, I ended up in a heap on the floor. Thank goodness for such a small distance and good padding (who said that?!) I skinned my right elbow but apart from feeling a little bit achey I am absolutely fine. I have to 'fess up that I scared myself thinking about the 'what ifs' and I've learned a good lesson there. I do have a hand rail down the stairs but both hands being occupied didn't help.

Sorry to hear that you slipped on the steps Yvie and LB . Try to rest and look after yourselves.
It has been snowing all day here . Β It looks beautiful . My OH needs new shoes and boots . His feet have become so swollen with the vascular inefficiency, he can’t get any of his shoes on .I have tried all of the appropriate sites and many several times and I cannot find any that are suitable . He needs shoes that open down to the toes. I am thinking of trying to get some made .I am firstly going to try the American sites .
    Enjoy your knitting ladies .
