Sorry @Dovefromabove - went out to pot up the bare root shrubs which arrived yesterday afternoon.  Hope you helped yourself to the pickled damsons...   :)

2nd desperado. hubby has been fixing the computers of the posh folks i used to clean for before covid.  The fella is a wine collector and Sent him home yesterday with a nice 2012 bottle of Clos Floridene. very nice it was too,  so back to slumming it tonight with larger, must get him some more computer work! 🤔

Witty woman that Nigella.  Never see Sevilles here so might have to see if I can find a plant.

It is becoming increasingly windy here and set to rain off and on and quite heavily for the next 3 days.  Humph!   We're already soggy.

However, our plot is not likely to flood so irritating but not devastating.  Hugs to all those needing sandbags and more to protect their homes.

  • Well a thank you to you @punkdoc for the invitation to your virtual party. I admit  we hadn't particularly thought about a big celebration but you were quite right.  We had sea bass stuffed with olives & sun dried tomato with broccoli & samphire,  followed with  coffee &vanilla poached pears.  Plus the Cremant de Loire of course.  All in all a very pleasant evening.🙂

I’m just waking up so haven’t seen the US stuff yet. I’ll be tuning into BBC world news soon. Hubby has been called out to a car accident with the fire brigade crew. It’s just to make sure there is no threat of fire. He has an appointment in town at lunch time to get his toe nails cut again. They’ve grown like elephant toenails since the chemotherapy. 😳

    Catch you all later.

Well ... a momentous day for history ... and a birthday for Possum and also for our friend Al ... so worthy of your splendid and most enjoyable party @punkdoc ... thank you both for being such gracious hosts ... I hope we've not made too much mess, and that we manage to disturb the neighbours adequately as we leave 😉

OH says he’ll provide bacon 🥓 baps and coffee ☕️  for stragglers in the morning.

For now I’ll just snuggle down and close my eyes ... night night all ... sleep tight 😴

Hope those in Christophe’s path are ok 🤗
