  • We have some very nice Cremant de Loire, which was intended for Christmas.  I think this would be a fitting use of it. We are starting to watch the rolling news,  already the contrast is huge.

The Inauguration on TV on here and lots of space on the large sofa  ... I’m repairing OH’s favourite painting jumper by edging the neckband with orange blanket stitch 🧶 😎 so you’re all welcome to join me.
Love Cremant de Loire @Allotment Boy 🥂

Can I please bring a nice bottle of Tanqueray gin to the party? Wines and champagne are far too high in Histamine for me now, I promise I will behave myself   B)

    Of course @floralies  🍸 I’ve got some Fever-tree tonic ... but behaving ourselves isn’t compulsory 😉

@B3 I’ve got lots of orange wool ... I’m quite happy to knit Trump an orange onesie should a trip to the Caribbean be on the cards for him 😉

    Guantanamo @Dovefromabove?

I am using a rich, coral orange to do some Swiss embroidery on blue gingham.  The Americans call it chicken scratch which just shows what they know!  It's far more calming and attractive than a chicken scratch.

Our bottle is ready in the fridge but OH ate all the cashew nuts the other night and I ate all the chocolates.

@Dovefromabove ,I've just realized that I am the matriarch in the family which is a very sobering thought. My mum was the eldest of the six, so I am the eldest female cousin of the 20 odd first cousins. Gosh, I don't feel old enough.

A few bottles of Corona, marmite butties and a bowl of satsumas would seem to be appropriate, folks.

Meanwhile, back in the garden, when does a 'pond' become a 'lake'? ;)
