We have some very nice Cremant de Loire, which was intended for Christmas. I think this would be a fitting use of it. We are starting to watch the rolling news, already the contrast is huge.

I am using a rich, coral orange to do some Swiss embroidery on blue gingham. The Americans call it chicken scratch which just shows what they know! It's far more calming and attractive than a chicken scratch.
Our bottle is ready in the fridge but OH ate all the cashew nuts the other night and I ate all the chocolates.
@Dovefromabove ,I've just realized that I am the matriarch in the family which is a very sobering thought. My mum was the eldest of the six, so I am the eldest female cousin of the 20 odd first cousins. Gosh, I don't feel old enough.
