We only buy for the young children now.  Sister in law wanted a Hovel pencil sharpener.  So hubby has 3D printed one,(using his new toy machine and then milled out a stand for it. Not exactly brass in a walnut case, but it will do the job just as well.  While he was at it, he made me one as well.  Who knew that pencils should be sharpened on a plane, not in a rotary thing, which apparently damages the lead.

It was everywhere on instagram a few months ago...nice solution to 3d print one, as the markup on the £57 they charge must be enormous! At least the replacement blades are only £3 ;)

Don't see the point of house plants What!!, Spider plants,Ivy, and Peace lillies clean the air, remove toxins, never mind that, they look good, I have pretty big garden, by most standards, plus about 30 orchids, various, green leaf plants in my lounge, plants in every single room apart from my spare bedroom, they are on windowsills, wall planters, floor every surface.

Fairly low key this year as both of us couldn't think of anything desperately wanted or needed. I've bought him black leather gloves (he lost one recently) and a book on F1 History which he asked for and in return he's paying for either one, two or three jumpers if I'm lucky (I went a bit crazy in Debenham's online sale the other night)!

Thanks @SueAtoo for pointing out the difference between a compost fork and a border fork.  I'd been struggling with a border fork for too long! 😂
