Spoke too soon it’s snowing again! If anyone goes out please wrap up warm and wear sensible shoes
  • LB How lovely for Jack, sounds like a very nice place to stay and what a fantastic welcome they all had,
Ante The power outage must have been dreadful for all those affected, glad you didn’t experience any problems.
As you can tell I’m reluctant to start those jobs 😊
  • Sorry Good Morning Rubee, ooh you have snow! enjoy it from the warmth and comfort of your home 🤗

    Morning all,

O/night snowfall here. As we live on a steep road that has never been gritted in our 20+ years here, snowfall means no bins emptied and great difficulty getting a car back home once you've slid it down to the main road. It might be ok for a few hours but once it has been compacted and, potentially, frozen tonight, it will be good for ice skaters and little else :o

I'll just have to survey the quiet stillness of my back garden before attempting the SM click and collect this evening.

Been watching this lonely fella hopping around his kingdom. One solitary trail of his footprints giving him away.

My snow is swiftly leaving due to rain and a slight temperature rise. Ante, I hope that those people who may have flooded basements are all safe. That is the last thing that you would want to happen.
Love your pictures Biglad. My birds have been around. Mr P in the front garden and one of his wives in the back garden, gleaning under the bird feeders when the smaller feather dusters chuck out the food they aren't partial to.
Does anyone, like me, think that TV has been particularly abyssmal this 'festive' season?

If you look in the settings for Alexa you can tell it NOT to store things you ask it or conversations it hears.

    We have snow! Finally.

Afternoon all,  @Cheyngel it's a bit like that here too.  Have had lots of snow this morning, huge flakes.  It's not deep out there but with temps dropping I don't think it will disappear overnight.
Hubby's sad today as another of his favourite guitarists has died (Tony Rice).  Lesley West died last week too so I think we'll be listening to a lot of Mountain tracks.
Just heard that Merri has had her hospital appts come through the post.  2 MRI scans one for her elbow and another for her hips/knees plus follow up appts for both.  I do hope that they don't get cancelled.
Been out to feed the birds and it's cold out there.  Stay warm and safe everyone.

What a horrible end of horrible year. Massive earthquake stroke central Croatia again. This time, sadly, there are casualties.
My family and me are well.

Oh Ante, I'm so sorry to hear that dreadful news and my heart goes out to any unfortunate people who are involved or affected by that catastrophe. As if they haven't had enough to put up with already in this year. I'm happy and relieved to hear that you and your family are safe.
