  • Just heard my nephews girlfriend has been tested positive for Covid. She's a police women. She's not too bad except for feeling extremely tired. Hoping all will be ok.
Our son came this morning so we could swap pressies, a chat at a distance for awhile and then waved goodbye😓

Yvie, so pleased you had a lovely time with your grandchildren. They really make things feel more like normal for awhile don't they.
Chive lovely that you could have a zoom pressie opening and chat
Hazel, so glad you managed to get a bit more sleep last night. Hope your'e feeling better today.  Really glad you got to see your mum via Zoom. Bet she loved chatting to you.
Debs, a soda stream seems a good gift to me too 🤗
LB thank you for the quiz answers and the new one too.
Topbird, hope your NIL gets better soon. Best wishes.
  • Evening everyone, had a good tidy up this morning, dinner eaten now ready for a relaxed evening,
LB thank you for the quiz hope the cats are all ok, have you tried a piece of your homemade Christmas cake? I have a little bit in the fridge that my sister made which will go nicely with a cup of tea in fact I might have to have that next!
Lily Sorry to hear of your nephews girlfriend testing positive, I hope she recovers well. Nice that you got to see your son today,
Hazel I hope your mum is able to have the injection soon, shame it has to be at the hospital but I’m sure they’ll work out a good system to administer them,
Rosie I hope you’ve been able to take a break over Christmas too, nice not to have to do the usual chores for a few days,
    Have a lovely evening all.

I am sorry to hear about your nephew's girlfriend SGL. Hope she has a rapid recovery. Its been lovely hearing all your news about your various Christmas celebrations.
Chive, I have had some of my Christmas cake and it is rather fine. I can definitely taste the sherry in it. Got one more feed to give to the cats tomorrow morning and then their families will be home again - looking forward to seeing them no doubt.
I haven't seen sign of the nomad cat since the first evening so I've got everything crossed that she hasn't legged it again! I think the fact that the food has been disappearing is a good sign as the other cat, Pepsi, has as bad an appetite for food as Lily.

We had a tiny bit yesterday that didn't settle.

Right now we have torrential downpours and howling wind, my sash window frames are creaking like mad. I'm very glad Luco is asleep on his blanket not out on the roof...

Good grief Chey. Thats been a few years now. Agent needs a prod early in the new year. You have health issues you can mention to try and speed things up.

Chive, enjoy your sister’s cake and curl up and watch the film.  Hazel hope mum manages to get a convenient appointment even though it will be at the hospital.  Lily I hope your nephews’ girlfriend makes a good recovery.  LB I hope the cats are good for you tomorrow and that Lily gains more of an appetite.  Im glad you enjoyed your cake.  I’m signing out to watch the film, sleep well.
