Good morning Ruby and Ante - you weren't there when I posted. How are you both? I'm still jealous that you have snow! Rain as usual here but luckily I'm not in any danger of flooding like some unfortunate people further south.

Ante, that cartoon carries such an important message doesn't it?

Good morning LB. I'm fine, thanks for asking. It's snowing here now. Every month I go to animal shelter in nearby town and it's heartbreaking.

Oh Ante. Don't start me off crying. It breaks my heart too. I don't have a home big enough to house all the creatures I would like to rescue. Pets bring us such joy and unconditional love so to think that small creatures are abandoned or worse is very saddening.

Good morning all. Dry here but cold. Snow forecast for Monday but not sure I believe it. Fiancé off work indefinitely now so need to think up stuff to keep him busy.
We opened our presents last night I got a sodastream. Very pleased as I drink a lot of sparkling water and worry about all the plastic bottles. I was saying to fiancé though that when we first got together 10 years ago it was all perfume and pretty underwear and jewellery and now it’s books and scented candles and a soda stream! Not so romantic but at least I can do my bit to save the oceans!

    Morning everyone,
Dry and very cold here too. They've forecast snow for Monday here too.
Would have loved snow yesterday, makes it look christmassy 🤗
Hazel, hope you managed to get some sleep last night.
So glad we all had an enjoyable day yesterday considering the circumstances. Hope everyone has a good day today too.
Our second son is popping round to swap presents. But it will be at a distance on the drive. With only a quick chat. 😥

    Take care everyone. TTFN

    Morning 🙂

Glad everybody had a good time yesterday in spite of all the restrictions. We went to Ipswich and had a walk round the marina and waterfront. The sun was shining but it was absolutely f-f-f-freezing🥶 Was glad to get home for a favourite treat of good coffee and a thick slice of toast with proper butter😋 eaten in front of the fire.

Rest of the day was taken up with Whats Apps, Facetime, opening presents and (of course) dinner. Settled for a mince pie and cream for dessert - we never fancy Christmas Pud after the richest dinner of the year but I like to make one. We might have it at New Year instead.

MIL enjoyed having her visitors. Sounds as though nephew-in-law is struggling a bit with Covid and is feeling very poorly. He’s a strong lad and we’re confident he’ll make a full recovery without medical intervention - but it’s a solid reminder to every one in the family that it’s not always a mild or asymptomatic illness. Think some were getting a tad complacent about that.

Debs - I’d have a soda stream over frilly pants any day of the week🤣

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
