I think so ... providing nothing else happens ... but if you keep it watered at least it won’t suffer from drought.

We’ve had several very dry springs, especially last spring, and the soil deep down has become quite dry, especially in areas where a lot of the ground is covered with tarmac and paving etc.

Even when it does rain the foliage of trees like yours acts like umbrellas and the rain doesn't reach the soil beneath the branches where the roots need it ... a lot of trees and shrubs have suffered from the cumulative effects of these dry spells.

Hopefully keeping the soil beneath the trees moist (not soggy) will keep your trees going for a good few years yet.

    Good luck 👍

    It’s not a brand I know but I’ve had a look ... I presume it’s this one? https://www.amazon.co.uk/GREEN24-Conifers-Plant-Food-Fertilizer/dp/B00HZFAMNS

It will give won’t improve the brown patches I’m afraid, but you could give your trees a dose in the spring (not now) ... follow the instructions carefully ... too much or too strong a mixture can do more damage. Applied properly it’ll give your trees a general feed which will be good for them.

I see it says you can apply it to the foliage or the soil. I would water it into the soil. The foliage of cupressus has a waxy surface which repels moisture so I think that method will be less effective.

    😊

  • ok... i will do just that yes green24..they claim it can bring or improve greeness. thanks
  • It won’t make the brown patches green again, but it should help to keep the healthy green foliage looking good.
    Good luck 😊
