If the close ups are from that middle tree, then it's on it's way out. They don't come back from brown growth. Any lingering bits of green may survive for a while, but not the whole thing.
I'm afraid no amount of watering would have done any good. The damage has probably been compounded over a few years, not just this year.

That's why I asked what the close ups were of @philippasmith2. From the original pix, the yellowy tree didn't look like any kind of conifer.  :/

  • just to let you know. the leaves of the effected tree are still green.. shall i wait to see it it miraculously revives or am i waiting my time as another conifer of that size 10ft to 13ft will be costly about £ 450   due to the size. or unless it can  be saved.  please advise
  • Planting a tree of that size there would be a waste of time and money ... there’s not enough space and t to he bigger the tree the more care it will need to get it established ... gallons and gallons of water every other day.

As I said, if you remove the dying tree the others may well grow to fill the space if tended with care and three gallons of water for each tree, at least every week from March to mid September.

  • how long could i get out of the tree before its completely dead coue of years?
  • If you give it plenty of water from March to mid September it may well survive quite well, but those brown leaves will never ever be replaced by new green ones. cypresses trees don’t do that.

  • thats fine long as i could get a couple year out of it. i assume it will grow eg bush outwards like any tree?
  • what if i cut out the brown leaves?
  • If you cut out the brown leaves there’ll just be gaps for ever ... it won’t sprout new leaves from the cut back bits ... cupressus dont do that. :-/

  • if i keep it watered in summer could i get say another 12 years from this tree..in the same state?
