Well my hour in the garden stretched to 2 and 1/2 hours. Had a lovely time weeding the bed where I removed the salix willow earlier in the year and the bed between my and neighbours gardens. It looks sooooo much better now. It is unusual to get the right weather to get in the garden, at the same time as having the time to do so. Work always seems to get in the way.

Hello everyone, Been busy with the boys over the last couple of days.  Secondborn has had to take Jonah to get a covid test as he has developed a cough.  I think he will be OK but school wont accept him unless he is tested and I can't look after him until I am sure he is OK.
Haven't wrote a Christmas card yet but we have taken all the decorations out of the cellar this morning.  I am going to go through them and get rid of lots that we don't use.  Secondborn can have what she wants to dress the new house and the rest I will leave out the front with a sign that people can take what they want.  We have far too many and we always end up hauling them out of the cellar and putting them straight back.  I would normally take them to a charity shop but they are all closed at the moment.
Merri has had her first trip to the physio who said that most of her muscles from the waist down are virtually locked and that it will take a while to release them.  Exercises wont help because if she does an exercise to help her hips it will make her knees worse, exercise the knees and it will make her calf and ankles hurt etc. etc.  Massage is the only way to go until her muscles are free enough to enable her to do exercises.  She is still on the waiting list for an MRI and Cat Scan but we don't know how long it will take.  We have worked out that it would be much, much cheaper to fly her to Turkey and pay for the treatment there (it costs £70 for an MRI scan).  If it wasn't for having to isolate on her return I think Firstborn would do it.

    Evening all.
I had a lovely day full of rest. Didn't go outside a lot, only in the walk with my dog. It's very cold. Just made a dough for biscuits which must rest at least one hour. It will be for tomorrow's lunch.

Thank you LB for another quiz. Think that I can guess a theme. I love it.

Hello all. Yvie, fingers crossed that the test is negative and poor young Merri. Life is not very kind to her is it.
Chive the rugby was great. England ladies beat France - though they made heavy weather of it - and England men beat Ireland. I dusted off my trusted vuvuzela for the matches. I was able to get a big batch of spaghetti bolognaise made as well.
