Afternoon everyone . Had an hour in the garden . That was enough ,it was very cold . Not as cold as Antes  -3 .I don’t think I would be able to breath in that temperature .Time for a cuppa .

LB, I thinking to put my wellies on the window. First, I must put some effort to clean them🤣.

Rosie, nice that you too bake bread. I don't do it often, but it's delicious and kitchen smell beautiful.

Had a phone call from Jack (ex cat sitter). He needed a bigger pot for an anthurium his daughter bought and then decided she didn't like. He wanted to repot it. He asked if I would write his usual annual letter for his friends in New Zealand which he pops in his card for them so I got that done as well. I had a bird feeder for him, which I had promised him a few weeks back so gathering up all these things I made a quick dash across the road to deliver them. Handed over everything on the doorstep. I could see the anthurium on the windowsill. It was one of the small red ones and looked really beautiful. Jack seemed well. Maybe soon, we will be able to have a coffee together in his conservatory - social distancing of course - as we used to do before this latest lockdown.

LB I’m glad your neighbour seems well and that he’s getting organised.  It’s kind of you to prepare his letter for him.  Hopefully soon you will be able to share a cuppa and have a good chat.  Ante we are having baked bread with tea.  Also buy from sm and bake bread when run out.  It does smell lovely.
  • Evening All, I’m fighting the Sunday feeling 😴
LB I hope it won’t be too long before you & Jack can enjoy a proper face to face chat together,  so nice that you do all these things for him,
Rosie it was quite a relaxing day, I did go in the garden to clear some leaves from the grass and curtail an Ivy’s escape plan I’m trying to train it over a low wall but of course it wants to go everywhere else instead. Bet your fresh bread was jolly tasty 😋
Rubee won’t be long and you can put your knitted decorations up on display 🤗
Ante hope you are enjoying a leisurely Sunday after the cold outing this morning,
    Have a nice evening everyone.
  • Glad to hear Jack is well LB. How lovely of you to write the letter for him. Hope your'e able to visit him properly soon. He must miss your company and chats.
We've had a lazy day today, had a phone call from the poppets and their mummy and daddy. We also phoned our other son and his family. Watched a film this afternoon too.
Now feel fat and full after our meal. 😤
Hope everyone in the quiet corner are ok.
Runny, think of you often, hope you're well.

Good to hear that Jack is ok LB. He will miss your company . Chive trying to train ivy is not an easy job . I have  a Virginia  Creeper  that keeps pulling away from where I want it .Lily good that you have regular contact with your family even if it’s only by phone .
I am signing out ,see you tomorrow.
  • Evening,
Lily it’s nice to chat with the poppets and your family hope they are all keeping well. I can relate to that feeling after a big Sunday lunch 😀
Rubee Love Virginia Creeper such a vivid colour at this time of year gorgeous. You’re right about the ivy i keep checking on it’s progress very sneaky, grows away when you turn your back on it.
It would be nice to know how those members are that have left this year, Kitty came back for a short while I just hope they are staying well.

Chive, ivy does have a mind of its own. I turn my back on mine and the next time I look its grown out in all directions.
SGL, its sounds as though you have had a perfect Sunday. I hope that Ante got warmed up this afternoon. Rosie, I got my cloth things pegged out and didn't they just get an extra rinse when it started raining again!
Night night Ruby, I'm signing out now too.
JCP in Herts on Twitter Good Night Herts Have a great evening and we will see you live and social again from 9am tomorrow MC
