Both those chaps were clear and professional and Jonathan came across as professional and in possession of his facts and responsibilities.  Boris, unfortunately, is well know for finding such attention to detail boring and tedious.

It was entertaining when he was Mayor - to watch anyway - but it is lamentable in a PM.

It was entertaining unless you were a Londoner. We had him sussed pretty soon but unfortunately, we kept it to ourselves.😕

From everything I hear about Boris, he was a very good London Mayor, but it's a very different job to PM.  There isn't the day to day relentless pressure as Mayor of a city, no matter how large.

He did some good stuff but he was profligate in many ways - water cannon, garden bridge - and didn't keep an eye on the detail or day to day stuff so not an admirable mayor tho good fun watching his antics if you weren't paying for him.

Funnily enough the only things I remember are the comic stunts and how he irritated David Cameron who had to grin and bear him.

I was just going to say the same. He was no more 'entertaining' (or indeed competent, trustworthy, or hardworking) as Mayor than as PM.

Except that now the scope for his buffoonery is so much greater.

He needs to stop flitting and settle down to some serious work and application.

I had an e-mail today inviting me to take part in a survey to do with Gardeners' World Magazine.  Having time on my hands (don't we all at present) I decided to go with it.  The survey turned out to be about retirement villages, about which I have no knowledge and even less interest but I ploughed on regardless.  One question was a list of 5 companies and which I had heard of.  I clicked the option for never heard of any of them, expecting to be taken to the end of the survey, but no,  onto the next screen and a question about which of the following statements best describe the companies I have already said I haven't heard of!
I know it's my own fault for doing the stupid survey but surely it's not beyond the wit of man to filter out people who can't answer the questions.
