to see you, it was nice you were able to see your daughter yesterday even from afar it means a great deal. I’m disappointed that you are still waiting on the electrician to get the shower operational it’s so frustrating.

Afties everyone. Hair sorted and I'm happy. Good to see you Debs and Hazel. Debs, I hope that you have a nice break in Shrewsbury. I remember going to the flower show there a few years back. Its a lovely place and thank you for sharing the picture. Those trees still look very leafy. Hazel, that is so disappointing about your shower.
Ante, I hope that the neighbours have had their telephone line reconnected. That could be a real struggle for them. Fingers crossed that the roadworks finish soon and you get some peace and quiet.

Biglad, have you sailed on the ark to some sunny island somewhere? Weather is hideous here in West Lancs.

No @Ladybird4 I've stayed behind in the swamp. I've managed a couple of hours in the garden but just ducked inside as it was one big, black cloud too many :(

Afternoon all, Weather has been good today so I've spent most of the day in the garden.  I've edged the back lawn, dug up 4 trugs of weeds, cut back loads of dead and soggy perennials, raked the lawns and packed away the wooden garden chairs.  It's looking much better but I still have a lot to do including planting a load of bulbs.
I love pancakes whatever the topping.

Look what I spotted flying over today. Really signals Autumn to me.

Hello Yvie. You have been a busy bee today and well done for all of your efforts. Jobs a good 'un. I have very scruffy Echinops in my garden and I was leaving the seed heads for the goldfinches but I haven't yet seen any birds feasting on the seeds. I may be tempted to just remove them in my tidying up. The goldfinches seem to prefer the feeder anyway.

LB I’m glad you’re happy with your haircut.  It’s great when you find a good cutter.
