May be a good idea to keep up with the olive oil or whatever just occasionally to keep ear canal clear,
East Dorset, new (to me) rather neglected garden.

@the tidy gardener  Great news!!  I'll bet you are so relieved.  I wonder, did you ask the doctor what to do if it happens again - and was our advice correct?

  • Hi guys!the relief was incredible.i have been wearing ear plugs for 11 years since being married to a heavy snorer...this pushed any wax into a massive plug, which would never have dissolved with olive oil!I had it sucked out not syringed,so no water and they put a camera in.it was like having the gutters done!!because i had a telephone consultation the nurse thought it was an infection.it wasnt until i insisted on being seen that another nurse said "it's just ear wax" and said "we dont syringe anymore"...I got in privately...I was prescribed antibiotics that I didnt need.i now sleep in the spare room as I'm never using ear plugs again!!but I dont care.i can hear!!! Never taking being able to hear for granted again.thanks for all your advice!!!
