Sounds good Rubee, just getting Sunday dinner prepared it’s a slow cooker recipe.
  • Morning everyone
Glad your arm is ok LB, take it easy though, not too much gardening....might set it off😕
Think I have the same plans as you Ruby, general potter and a relaxing afternoon 😉
The shops are usually packed with xmas decs by now, I don't suppose there will be as many this year, having been closed for so long and people aren't spending really.
A friend of mine said that all festive chocolates, puddings and mince pies have been in for the past month or so. I think just being able to see our family will be more important this year....which is what it's all about really anyway.
Sunny again this morning, have been sitting in the conservatory drinking tea watching the leaves float down from the oak tree. Definitely a sign a autumn when they start to fall.
Hope you're ok Hazel, take care.
Must whizz round with the sucky thing.....Sorry TT 😉

Had a short walk into the woods near here  . It’s only small but it’s beautiful. Mountain Ash, full of berries , Sycamore leaves turning to gorgeous shades of yellow and russet, massive oak trees shedding their yellow /brown crispy leaves .A couple of squirrels , squirrelling nuts .It was lovely .

Hazel I have problems getting on this page too.  Ante enjoy your time at the cottage.  It’s good you had a successful shop.  LB it’s good you’ve had no negative effects from the flu jab.  Chive, how nice to have Sunday dinner in the slow cooker.  It’s Lily’s tv day today and I’m on my third wash, yet to spin.  I hope you all have a good day.  Unfortunately missed Beechgrove.

Good Morning Lily, Hazel & Rosie,
Lily I absolutely agree with your thoughts about X**s, if we are lucky enough to be with our family this year that’s enough.
Hazel You really had a technical day yesterday 👩🏻‍💻 not sure I know what you were doing it sounds complicated but pleased you made it on today,
Rosie The slow cooker is a good excuse to let dinner simmer with just an occasional stir and sniff in the pot. Hope you’re not over loaded with the wet things, there’s no end to that pile sometimes.
Rubee your walk sounded wonderful, it’s lovely to take in all the beauty of nature it’s gone too soon.
    Have a good day everyone.

In for elevenses. I have been really busy in the garden and filled the bigger of my two bins. Got loads of cutting back done. Lily came out to take a look, decided it was all rather boring so went to sit by the back door and then what did she do - only mew very loudly until in the end I gave in and went and opened the back door for her. She has me well trained!
Your walk sounds to have been lovely Ruby. What a difference a day can make. Its glorious outside. According to handy brother - who has probably seen the forecast - it is not going to be as good tomorrow. Once I've had my elevenses I might go and do some more work but I'm quite content with what I've got done already.

    Afternoon all.
I came home much earlier. It's hideous outside so I didn't done much. Saw a lot of mushrooms from car but didn't want get wet.
I need a cup of warm tea, and sofa. Great british bake off just started.

Chive, I have a light display every year but didn't bought anything yesterday. It's too early, even for me.

Afties all. I've finished in the garden for today. Got some more stuff crammed into the green bin. The clouds are building up now - those big white 'cauliflower' clouds.
Ante, very wise not to get wet and cold.
I've just had to order some more bird food because I have not one dried meal worm, suet pellet or sunflower seed left and my robin has been giving me a right scolding. I had just enough to fill one feeder so the little birds are all very happy now. Think I'll go and rummage in the larder to see what I can rustle up for lunch.
