Hello Ante, don't worry as we are always here and we know that you have a very busy life. Are your Autumn temperatures usually that hot? I think I would just be a puddle with that heat.
Yvie, it must have been so comforting sitting with Firstborn yesterday and sharing fond memories of your Mum.
Handy brother and I are going out for a meal today - Take 2 of Eat Out to Help Out. Looking foward to it. Managed to get a dental check up appointment for this Friday afternoon so that is another thing on my 'to do' list ticked off. I did cancel a haircut for tomorrow as my hair was cut really short 6 weeks ago and is still reasonably OK. Rearranged it for next month.
Did anyone see the latest dinky disco idea started by a young German man? I am not sure that I would like to be dancing in a recycled telephone booth but it did bring a smile to my face. One of my youngest great nephews would LOVE it. He only has to hear music and he's up on the dance floor cutting some shapes.

The telephone booth would need an extension and blacked out windows to accommodate me :D . Maybe then  ;)

Looks like another sunny day ahead, it was quite hot during the night too.
Yvie, it was good  you could spend time with your daughter and share some happy memories of your mum. Take care of yourself too.
Hope you have a lovely day with your brother LB, enjoy your lunch.
I'm having my hair cut again Thursday, seems have grown so much again in the last few weeks.
Will get out in the garden today and do some gardening and enjoy this sunshine.
Time for a cup of tea
Have a good day everyone take care

  • Good Morning LB, Biglad, Lily & Rubee and all to follow,
LB Lovely picture in memory of the Battle of Britain. Have a great lunch out today with handy brother. Good that you were able to get a check up at the dentist, I must try and do the same. Love the dinky disco a bit tricky to dance round my handbag in there though 😀
Lily Hope you had a nice time with 2nd poppet yesterday, enjoy the sunshine don’t overdo the gardening bit.
Rubee how are things with you? Hope you have a good day,
Yvie It was nice to hear how you’d had the afternoon with your family sharing fond memories, a lovely way to remember your mum best wishes to you.
Ante I hope you are getting on well with school and the students back in the classroom. Sounds extremely warm where you are, lots of ice cream needed 🍩😀
As for the car, well it decided that it was going to be on best behaviour at the garage so despite the warning light flashing, bleeps & noises i had when driving last week, yesterday it performed beautifully!
    Have a nice day everyone.

Morning - just come in for a cool down. Been busy clearing and weeding and generally scrabbling under the front  hedge - hair literally looks like it's been dragged through a hedge (well - it has!) and my arms are scratched to bits - lovely! Too hot for this really - will have a much more relaxed afternoon.

Yvie - I was so sorry to read the sad news about your mum. As you know, we can empathise with the problem of not being allowed to see somebody at the time you feel the most need to be there. It's very hard. You've had so many problems piling up for you lately - I hope there is some respite in the coming weeks.

Rubee - best wishes for you and your OH - a constant worry.

Chive - that is so typical with a car or almost any other bit of kit. Hope you can get it sorted.

    LB - enjoy your lunch!

Best wishes to everyone else. Don't know why I've had so little time to post on here recently - just seems to have been a bit of a busy spell. Hoping to meet up with some of my longest standing friends over the next few weeks (all at different times). We live all over the country and it's not easy at the best of times - even more so the last few months - it will be good to do it.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
  • Afternoon All, I need tea,
T’bird nice to see you, you’ve been busy at work under the hedge. Will be nice to meet up with your friends, have some days out and enjoy the free time,
Hazel You’ve got the plants off to a good start I’m sure they’ll continue to flourish. Really odd that the colours of the others have altered from white though, very strange.
Im lacking in motivation now, must try and find some. Have a good afternoon everyone.
