Five autumn leaves and berries to spot - Discover Wildlife
Morning all. Well the end of another week. I cannot believe that it is nearly a year since my nephew got married in Eskdale and my Ozzie brother and niece came over to celebrate with us. Said brother was telling me that Western Australia has still got closed borders and anyone who wishes to travel into WA from other parts of Australia has to quarantine, for 2 weeks in a hotel which they have to pay for themselves. He doesn't think that he will see his son, who is in Sydney, this festive season which is a real shame but can't be helped. At least niece and her OH decided to move back to Perth from Melbourne before Covid occurred so brother and sister-in-law will have their company.

Good morning LB and all to follow.    It’s a shame about the border restrictions due to COVID and that your brother might not be able to see his son.  Let’s hope things improve and the virus is under control but with it flaring up and having more lockdowns in certain areas it is difficult, especially when you haven’t seen each other for some time.   A cooler morning today.
  • Good Morning LB & Rosie and all to follow,
Lily good to see you 👋😀 sounds like you had a good day yesterday getting out to the shops and seeing your family that’s lovely,
LB I can’t believe that your nieces wedding was nearly a year ago! That’s such a shame for your brother and his son to be unable to get together, but luckily your niece will be there to celebrate with him. Hope you get some gardening opportunities today,
Rosie it is starting to feel more Autumnal though there is talk of another warm spell next week, hope you have a good day,
Off to see mum this morning, so have a good day everyone see you later.

Morning - a bright and sunny one today😎 There is a distinctly autumnal note to the garden with heavy dew and lots of red berries so I don’t blame Lily for making a start on packing away summer furniture. However, we have temperatures of 28 - 30C forecast for early next week so there may yet be life in the sun loungers!

Cutting the grass and also making soup and other stuff to use up the food we took away with us and didn’t use.

Rubee - meant to say - sorry to hear your OH is struggling with his ailments. My friend has venal insufficiency and she is often in a lot of pain and unable to walk far. Not much they can do for her either.

Chive - are you all ready for your visitors?

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
