Am I the only person on this forum who can't stand the smell of pelargoniums? Foliage or flowers.   :)

@Fairygirl one man’s meat is another man’s poison.. I hate the smell of lillies with a passion but I used to live with a girl who adores it and brings home bouquets after bouquets despite my protests..

@newbie77 Thanks for the suggestion, I have not had much luck growing salvias.. I tried from seed this year and ended up having nothing to show because every single of them died.. the germination was fine but the seedlings quickly became poorly and regardless of what I did they just carried on dying.. it’s the only plant that I have not had success with since I started gardening last year :(

@celcius_kkw, i never had luck with any other salvia seeds except the red annual ones. I got this type as 9cm plant. It grew over a season and i could easily root cuttings and create more plants after that. Do give it a try whenever you see it available while buying something.

  • @Fairygirl I think the point of scented pelargoniums is that they don't smell of pelargonium!
