  • Do wonder if the programme I vaguely recall was filmed at Cramden https://www.cramdennursery.co.uk/689/gardeners-world-at-cramden-nursery/ must have been!

  • A few Lemon scented Pelargonium leaves can be laid on the base of Victoria sandwich cake tins then a grease proof paper circle laid on top ... then the cake mix ... when baked the cake will be beautifully fragrant. 🍰

  • .. and the fact there is such a wide range of fragrances.
    Indeed. There is even one that smells like coca cola! I was enticed by one many years ago that smelled like sherbet. It took me a while and many visits to the garden centre to figure out which plant the scent was coming from! You've certainly got yourself a large selection there.
  • @Dovefromabove I didn’t know they’re edible too! That sounds like amazing way to ‘spice’ up a Victoria sponge!

    @cordata I have to say I’m not familiar with the smell of sherbet.. but Coca Cola?! It’s tempting to buy more but I think I shall see how I get on with my first ten 🙂

    @celcius_kkw  ...  What...!?  😱 You’ve never had a Sherbert Fountain!?! 😭
    You poor thing ... what a terrible childhood you must’ve had 😢 😉
    You must remedy that ASAP ... you can buy them online if you don’t have a proper sweet shop at the corner of your road.

  • @Dovefromabove Do sweet shops still exist nowadays....? Yeah.. I guess my childhood was slightly devoid of sweets.. I never had liquorice either till just a few years back. 😝

    @celcius_kkw,  if you like scented foliage, you should get this salvia: salvia nachtvlinder

    I have lots of salvias and this one has best most fragrant leaves. It is floppy as compared to few others but the leaves have nice fragrance. You can even plant it with other plants in container as it doesnt grow very large like hotlips. Also whenever it looks too big or floppy, just trim it or take cuttings and discard the original plant.
