Was very happy to see forsythia on the list but disappointed that ceanothus and parsnips were not included.

Absolute impartiality is impossible. You can't give every opinion a equal shot. People cry bias when their own views (which might be biased - god forbid - apologies to atheists) are not given, what they consider to be, a fair hearing.
They also seem to be the same people who would ban people whose views don't match their criteria from speaking in universities.
You can't have it both ways.

At least the BBC is advert free.  I've nearly worn out the Mute button on the remote silencing all the ads for charities, funeral plans etc.  Even channel hopping doesn't avoid the damn things as every channel seems to have ad breaks at the same times now.

Have you noticed how the eyes are photoshopped in charity adverts? Sometimes to the extent that they look like aliens.

Other than OH's golf and other sports which he often watches live, we record anything on the commercial channels so we can FF the ads.   Sorted.

Flowering currants, especially when paired with forsythia, should be on the list.

The quality of drama on the BBC is fantastic. We are currently re watching Line of Duty and I think it was quite rightly described as the best television series of the last decade.

Forgot about that one, AND everything with David Attenborough.
IMHO Blue Planet was the catalyst for the whole worldwide Plastic in the Oceans debate

I'm with you Debs, easily pleased.  Mind you I've always been quite tolerant of things in general.

The list goes on forever @Hostafan1. We would be so much worse off without it, and yes wealthy pensioners should pay for their license.
We have about 400 channels  in this house, but other than for sport over 90% of what we watch, is on the BBC.

@Songbird-1. i was giving my own opinion about perceived bias on the BBC. It was a general statement, not directed at anyone in particular.
Feel free to enter the debate and give your opinion freely if you wish - or not .
I would think that most people's opinion  is biased in some way ( age, experience etc etc) or another. That's what makes a discussion interesting.
