    I absolutely agree @wild edges

I’m curmudgeonly now!  My OH has a significant birthday and his brother who lives locally want to come and see him, that’s ok,  living in the wilds of the country side, working on his own farm, then he says,   cousin S is down from London and want to come as well.
Of course we all know COVID had gone completely from London so we should all be safe 🤬🤬🤬🤬

If the statistics are to be believed, we're not doing too badly in London

Covid hasn't completely gone from anywhere so if you want to protect yourself you will need to self isolate.

    I’m feeling very curmudgeonly today...
My brother-in-law has sent his 3 young kids to ‘summer camp’ this year, which I think is very irresponsible but it’s out of my control. The problem I have is they went to visit my mother-in-law last weekend - she is elderly and vulnerable to Covid. While there, the oldest child developed a sore throat and fever... Then the other 2 got it. They went home Sunday and continued life as normal! He keeps saying, ‘it’s just a little cold they’ve caught at camp.’ How could anyone be so nonchalant about any cold symptoms right now??? MIL has woken today with same symptoms. I wouldn’t mind but last Christmas his family gave us all colds and MIL ended up in hospital for 2 weeks with pneumonia. Why are people so f****** stupid and inconsiderate?!

Because they're a***holes @HalleS. My stock response nowadays.

@Lyn - I saw a report last week about the behaviour of tourists in Cornwall and Devon and thought of you and @Hostafan1. They were being abusive to shop workers/residents etc, with some of them stating that 'they were on holiday so they'd do what they want, and anyway - you don't have a problem with it there'.

    Beggars belief.  Self entitled t*ssers.:/
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

You’re you’re right @Fairygirl. And it’s not only the news picking out the bad bits as they do.
I couldn’t repeat the things David’s had to put up with.  They are shoulder to shoulder in St Ives where a lot of his deliveries are,   He needs to drive down those narrow streets, will they move over for him, will they heck!

Last week he had to drive on a grass verge because they’d double parked in the road, he got stuck on the wet grass,  let his tyres down for more traction, cable didn’t reach to pump them back up, took the wheels off so nearer to the cab,  2 hours later, they’re still there looking at him.

Hopefully they’ll all go home this weekend and pass it around between themselves and the locals who have been staying in, will still be free if it.

I just wish with his illness he didn’t have to go back to work.😢

@HalleS. Your BiL is a prat. Be thankful you're not married to him😊

Yes @Fairygirl and @B3. A**hole and prat and some other choice words I shouldn’t say. Thankfully I married a sensible man. I can’t imagine how many marriages are in turmoil over Covid.

How's this for a definitive curmudgeon?
Sweet million. Every day i go out in the garden, there's more! I make them into tomato sauce but how much do I need? It's relentless. One is scrambling over a bench. Another one is shinning up the pergola. I'm almost looking forward to the frost😕
