Good grief!  I hope they spend some of those donations on a couple of CCTV or trail cameras!

Summer starts on the summer solstice (which this year was June 21st). Midsummer day this year was on June 24th. So summer must have ended on June 27th.

Unfortunately I think that estimation for the length of Summer is about right this year.  We did have a lovely warm Spring though. :D

Those who steal from, or vandalise, charities really are the lowest form of animal life.  We have one near us which has a sign up telling people not to leave donations outside when they are closed.  We walked past one evening when there were a number of bags outside but when we returned a couple of hours later half the bags had disappeared.  Clearly not the actions of somebody involved with the charity as they would have moved all the bags.

18 snails all snuggled up together on one yucca this morning!

They've had a flying lesson and been lobbed across the road into the hedgerow.

  • Oh, just posted on Having a Giggle, didn't think I had any grumps, wrong!! I ahve a friend of over 30 years, (Her Hubby is seriously ill) Monday was their 45th Wedding Anniversary.  Last week I ordered flowers from one of these companies, that pack them flat in a box to go throught the letter box, have used them before, no problem.  Arraned for them to be delivered today, that was the first day they could do.  Confirmation e-mail, then confirmation e-mail from DPD to say they have them in their depot.  Tracking info, log on to be told, oh, dear there seems to be a problem, which will delay delivering, which "they hope will be in the next 24 hours", grrrr.  Rang said company who will check with DPD. Hubby ill with stress, retired last week, went back to work over 2 months ago, company accidentally carried on paying just furloughed wages. loads and loads of other stuff problems with company, mistakes.  Then last week he got a letter from them, saying they had over paid him, 2 managers tried to speak to "wages" get it sorted, lletter is quite threatening, saying he has 2 weeks to transfer it into their account.Failure to do so will mean they will obtain it by whatever means possible.  He has tried to ring the woman, left messages, no-on has returned call.  He are unable to acertain how they arrived at the sum they quote.  During his furlough he was locked out of the works laptops, unable to get 2 wage slips, and unable to get anyone to sort that out.  This is why he desided to leave

Years ago one of my brothers told me he's been paid over twice as much for the previous 3 months. " Do I keep quiet or " fess up"?"
He left it until he spoke to our other brother, ( who worked at the same place ) and he siad he'd not been paid for 3 months.
Surely it's not that hard to realise that some folk have the same surname??
